Happy New Year Everyone!

I hope everyone had a great time celebrating the holidays with their loved ones- I sure did. 2016 is going to be an amazing year, I can feel it. What better time to update your living space, by starting off with your kitchen. Here are some tips to update your kitchen:

1) Start off with your Kitchen cabinets; the best way to get eye catching cabinets without spending a ton of money is refacing the cabinet doors. This a process where the original doors are taken off, and  new doors are installed back in place. Keep a neutral and clean palate in mind as it will make the kitchen seem more spacious and inviting.

2)Secondly get those striking sinks
To get that a seamless look get an undermount sink- meaning it is installed under the counter. Make sure to keep the size of your sink in mind especially if you live in a smaller house or condo, you don't want to create focus on the sink, which can eat up your counter space and make the kitchen appear smaller than it is.

3)Revamping the counters- When updating your kitchen I often will suggesting spending the bulk of your funds on the counters. Marble or stone are popular options which can add up the cost and can also be high maintenance, however they do look fabulous. Laminate is also a popular and more cost- effective option which I often recommend to my clients.

4) Fabulous Flooring-  You can have great looking floors on any budget! I always recommend sticker tiles that are designed to replicate the aesthetic of wooden floors. Another option is porcelain tiles that will give a seamless look.

5) Adding your own personal touch- whether it be flowers, parisian style or adding a pop of colour. Giving your kitchen a modern twist can add a touch of style and make it that much more eye catching.

Hope these tips helped!
